The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil took part in the Ground Breaking and Foundation Stone Ceremony of the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation Asian Traditional Textiles Museum in Siem Reap, Cambodia on September 16, 2010 during her State Visit there. India had announced a financial grant of US $ one million in 2002 for setting-up of the Museum, which shall house the exhibits, as also interactive facilities, fashion design and development centre using traditional ethnic designs and a children's activity and learning centre.
