The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh called on the President Smt. Pratibha Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. This was the first meeting since President Smt. Patil took the oath of office yesterday. The meeting lasted 20 minutes. The Prime Minister was accompanied by his wife Smt. Gursharan Kaur. The Prime Minister and his wife greeted the President on her assuming the office of the President of India.
The two leaders discussed matters of national and international importance.
