PRESIDENT OF INDIA CONDOLES PASSING AWAY OF PANDIT BHIMSEN JOSHI

The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil has condoled the passing away of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi.

In her condolence message, she has said "Pandit Bhimsen Joshi was one of the most acclaimed exponents of Khayal Gayki of the Kirana Gharana and a doyen of Hindustani classical music. In his passing away the nation has lost one of the greatest and most popular classical vocalists."
