PRESIDENT ACCEPTS RESIGNATION OF MS. MAMATA BANERJEE, PM TO LOOK AFTER THE RAILWAYS MINISTRY SHRI MUKUL ROY GETS ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF THE RAILWAYS MINISTRY AS MOS

The President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister of India, has accepted the resignation of Ms. Mamata Banerjee, Minister of Railways, from the Council of Ministers, with immediate effect and directed that the charge of Ministry of Railways will be looked after by the Prime Minister.

Further, as advised by the Prime Minister, the President has directed that Shri Mukul Roy, Minister of State in the Ministry of Shipping will be assigned additional charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Railways.
