PRESIDENT SUMMONS LOK SABHA ON JULY 21ST FOR GOVERNMENT TO SEEK VOTE OF CONFIDENCE

On the advice of the Prime Minister and his Cabinet, the President has approved the summoning of the next session of the Lok Sabha on 21st July, 2008 to enable the Government to seek a Vote of Confidence. Subject to the exigencies of Government business, the session may conclude on 22nd July, 2008. An Order under Article 85 (1) of the Constitution to this effect has been signed by the President.
