The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil has greeted fellow citizens on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti, which will be celebrated tomorrow.
In a message, the President has said, "On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas, I extend my warm greetings to all my fellow countrymen.
Guru Ravidas, a great Saint and social reformer fought against inequality and injustice and worked for the establishment of a society based on equality, compassion and justice. May we derive inspiration from the teachings of this great Saint and reformer to rededicate ourselves for the building of a more tolerant society".
